GGL541 is certified compliant with the HomePlug® AV standard and additionally features Gigle’s advanced Mediaxtream™ and Xtendnet™ technology for best-in-class performance, network coverage, and reliability. Mediaxtream provides a 1Gbps channel that can be used over powerline, phoneline, or coaxial cable. Xtendnet intelligent switching provides the ability to direct traffic according to channel conditions, combine multiple channels into a single virtual channel for faster point to point throughput, and have network nodes act as repeaters to improve coverage. Xtendnet works across all connected wired and wireless domains. A Gigabit GMII interface is provided for ultra high-speed connectivity.
Gigle’s system-on-chip integrated circuits have been created for embedding inside consumer electronics and IT products. They exhibit the industry’s highest levels of integration, with all digital, analog and memory circuitry contained in a single low-pin-count package. Each device contains dual MII ports for easy extension to wireless technologies and for efficient interfacing to system processors. Low power operating modes are standard.
